Welcome to Zaječí, a small wine-producing village beneath Pálava.
We are a young family winery from Zaječí and our wines are made from grapes that ripen on five hectares of our own vineyards. We value the soil and care for the vineyards with respect for nature and the landscape. We do not use herbicides, we utilize biological protection, and by sowing legume-cereal mixtures we enrich the soil and prevent erosion. When processing the grapes, we proceed gently, allowing their uniqueness to stand out.
Pavlica Winery was officially founded in 2012. However, it was established gradually since 2006, when Honza, still a student, bought his first vineyard and rented a cellar.
The current annual production of the winery is around 30,000 bottles of wine, which we supply to selected restaurants, bistros, cafes, and wine shops, but also directly to you, our dear customers.
Our vineyards are located in the village of Zaječí, which falls under the Velké Pavlovice wine sub-region. They are planted on a southern slope in the Pod Novou horou vineyard tract. It is a unique location and grapevines have been grown here since Roman times. It is influenced by the microclimate of Pálava, the Nové Mlýny reservoirs, and the geological bedrock containing limestone.
White varieties:
Sauvignon Blanc, Hibernal, Pálava, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay
Red varieties:
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
Although Honza does not come from a traditional winemaking family, he was always very close to wine. He graduated from the Secondary Wine School in Valtice and continued his studies at Mendel University, which brought him many friendships with other young winemakers, but also with his wife.
After graduating from university, he worked for 8 years as a technologist and cellar master, gathered experience at home and abroad, and gradually created his own winery.
We have divided our wines into two ranges
Fresh, light wines focused on primary fruity aromatics. Ideal for gastronomy.
More robust, full-bodied wines reflecting their place of origin. Also suitable as a gift. Some are also suitable for longer aging.
We ship in cartons of 6 bottles by Messenger courier anywhere in the Czech Republic, or you can stop by our winery.

You can get to know us and our wines in our cellar with a capacity of up to 30 people.
